GSE Computer Setup

These are instructions for configuring a computer for use as a DraMS GSE Workstation.

NOTE: NASA needs to install Windows and configure a user named "dramsops" first!

1. Install Git
2. Install SVN
3. Install Python
4. Install 7zip
5. Install LibreOffice
6. Install Opal Kelly FrontPanel USB driver
7. Install TeraTerm
8. Install Star-Dundee Star-System
9. Install XINA Connect
10. Copy the MEB PS application files to C:/ (The _DATA and _Dev directories from the GSE Setup Folder)
11. Copy the XINA key to C:/Users/dramsops
12. Copy the SSH keys to C:/Users/dramsops/.ssh
13. Copy the .699config.INI to C:/Users/dramsops
14. Configure DRAMSIOC access
15. Clone the SVN dramsdata repo

• Run the DRAMSIOC tunnel in a CMD window ('ssh dramsioc')
• From Windows Explorer, navigate to C:/Users/dramsops
• Right-click and select "SVN Checkout..." (you may need to select "Show more options" on the context menu)
• Checkout the repo svn://localhost:6994/dramsdata

16. Clone the DraMS Git repositories

• Open Git Bash
• cd /c/Users/dramsops
• git clone git@sed-gitlab.gsfc.nasa.gov:drams/dramsgse.git
• git clone git@sed-gitlab.gsfc.nasa.gov:drams/drams_distribution.git
• git clone git@sed-gitlab.gsfc.nasa.gov:drams/gseos.git
• Add Quick Access links for the Git/SVN repos

17. Enable Remote Desktop: Settings -> Remote Desktop -> Flip On Switch
